Our Process

To ensure a top quality finished product on each and every job, we adhere to a tried-and-true process.  Here is what you can expect from us:

First, we will do an initial consultation with all decision makers.  We will visit your site, take measurements and other notes, and discuss all the various options for your floor, including but not limited to colors and additives.

Next we will prepare your concrete.  This includes filling any cracks or other damage, preparing the surface of the concrete to ensure maximum bonding with the epoxy, and thoroughly cleaning the concrete with a pressure washer.  The surface must then be allowed to dry completely before the epoxy can be poured.

Once the concrete is clean and dry, it is time to pour the epoxy.  This will require several layers - the exact number depends on the design and function of your floor.  Each layer must dry before the next layer can be poured, so expect this process to take a couple of days at minimum (depending on the size of your space). 

Finally, a sealer will be applied (if necessary) and the floor will be allowed to dry and cure.  Most floors can be walked on after 12 to 18 hours, but a full cure generally takes approximately 7 days.  Your technician will advise you on the exact times to wait before allowing foot traffic, machinery, and other equipment on your new floor.  Once the floor is fully cured, you can begin using and enjoying your new space!
